In the middle of a field, a little knight on a little horse reaches for the sunlight. Blushing, the speckles of a bronze halo surround his glaze. Never has he seen such beauty, never had he felt this light. He is captured at the moment, for just a little moment he is freed from his desire to proceed with his quest.
A child, dug under the sand, grasping what was not really there. Big hands disappear under the millions of tiny rocks surrounding him. Stunned by the sensation, like a little tickle in the brain. He’s captured at the moment, fighting the urge to destroy his sandcastle.
As the moment rises and feelings of anger, despite, underlying tones of wisdom, despair, and melancholy come to you, know that just as fast as they will arrive, they too will fade away.
My long-run tradition to make an artwork during the easter weekend has reached its fifth birthday. This year, the emotional journey through a lifetime is central: how we project, implement, remember, feel, and carry our emotions throughout our life is one of the most characteristic things about us. One emotion jumped out to me the most, Anger; a threatening feeling that I can’t and might never fully relate to. Fortunately, we live in a world in which AI can fill up gaps, that we as humans are unable to create.
